Sweet 17

Jade - Turning 17 is such an exciting time. You have so much to look forward to as you move to the next part of your life. The world that you once could not wait to be a part of is now at your fingertips, and it is both exciting and scary. At seventeen, it all seems so simple. But when you do begin to take those steps towards independence, always listen to your heart. During your photo shoot, I saw a beautiful and smart young lady with great potential. I hope that you always keep that as well as your beautiful smile. It was a pleasure meeting with you, and I look forward to your BIG Birthday Bash on Saturday. My Little Girl is Not So Little Anymore

Today was a beautiful sunny day in Germany. These days are rare during the winter. In order to take advantage of all the light, I set up my backdrop and took pictures of my daughter. I cannot believe that she has grown so much. Even though I see her grow and change everyday, these images really surprised me. WOW, my little girl is not so little anymore.

Here's to the hope for a great year.

One thing I have learned is that time goes by so fast. At times it feels as if the days are so long. Then days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into years. Pretty soon we reflect on our lives and begin thinking about the good ole' days. We ask ourselves, "Where did the time go?"

It is nice to have portraits to look at and remember those times. Because after a few years when your baby enters Kindergarten, you will not remember the loud crying that kept you up at night. Instead, you will reflect on how they have grown into the child they have become.

Portraiture is a beautiful way of preserving different stages in our lives. It allows us to take a step out of our busy schedules and pay attention to the world around us. Photography for me has developed from a simple hobby to a wonderful passion in my life. With that passion (and hard work), I have started a photography business. And it is my pleasure to artistically capture the timeless moments in your life.

The Bond Between Mother And Child

The bond between mother and child is a special one, especially in our child's younger years. When our children are small, time goes by so fast because we are busy tending to them. Their dependency on us as mothers is so important. Even though we may be tired and ragged, just a simple smile on their face make it all worth it. Children appreciate and trust us to help them. Mothers care for their children because we have carried them from the beginning. We have an important role in each other's lives and that is why I think this bond is so precious.

Camila

Wonderful, sweet Camila. I had such a great time photographing her because she was so curious and playful. I had to get creative to keep her entertained. We found bugs, we spun until we got dizzy, and I think I even rolled in the grass at one point. I love all her different expressions. They just bring a smile to my face. She was not interested in taking photographs that day, and did not really pay attention to the camera. She was just being herself. I loved that about her session because that is what made her portraits fun and unique... I was just there to capture her life that day.

Christina & Anthony

Beautiful baby twins, Christina and Anthony. They are three weeks old in these portraits. They slept straight through this session and did not make a peep, even though we had to carefully put them in place. It is so sweet to see their differences. One is bigger and lighter, and the other is smaller and darker. But they are so comfortable lying next to each other, like they will always be by each other's side. I absolutely love taking baby photos. There is a certain calmness that innocence that soothes me, and I enjoy being around them. I know that babies aren't always like this, but that is why it is nice to capture these moments. So that we can remember how delicate and special they are.

Bridal Session

A wonderful bridal session. These images were taken in such a beautiful location and Kristy was simply glowing. I love the romantic effect in these portraits, and the beauty that was captured. Kristy was like a celebrity that day, she had an audience everywhere we went. Her dress was stunning and the colors were perfect. I lined the lines in her dress and face against the background to create movement within her portraits. They have a certain "fairy-tale" feel to them. I really loved this session. She was a great model and absolutely a joy to photograph. I probably could have photographed her all day (but she had to go back to work). ; )
